And…the castles

My tip: If you love castles like I do, look at an itinerary that sails through Germany’s Middle Rhine. Castles sit above the river among vineyards and small towns, and you can take in the scenery right from the ship. I would want plenty of time on deck for that stretch of the journey!

I wouldn’t choose a river cruise based on a beautiful ship photo alone. I’d want to know which towns you’ll visit, how much time you’ll have in each one, what the excursions involve, and whether the pace feels right for you. Those details can make a big difference in how much you enjoy the trip.
