What to pack for your next Caribbean Vacation

Let’s get packing for your Caribbean vacation. Whether cruising or staying at an All-Inclusive resort, these items will help make the trip more enjoyable! I am providing a general packing list plus links to some of my favorite items to complete your packing essentials.

Sunscreen: This is a must for any vacation. If you will be swimming in the ocean, I suggest using a reef-safe sunscreen to protect the reefs and ocean life. These are 2 of my favorite brands. Blue Lizard and Coral Safe.

Electrolyte/hydration packets: Be mindful that extended exposure to the sun and overindulgence in alcohol can lead to dehydration. It's essential to stay hydrated! This is a favorite brand of mine, Nectar.

Drinky drinky!

Face cleaning meltaway tabs: This is a product I have recently found and LOVE. I typically carry makeup remover wipes for quick facial cleansing but this is ever better. This can be used by men and women. Here is a link.

I love these face washing melts!

Packing Cubes: I have been using packing cubes for a while, but recently found these compression packing cubes. Not only do they organize but also compress so that you can pack more in your suitcase. Here is a link to these packing cubes.

Portable safe: If you are on the beach or on an excursion where you have to leave valuables alone for extended periods of time, this portable safe is a great find. I have used this multiple times on the beach. It easily attaches to anything fixed, securing your belongings. Check out the link here.

Stay away from my stuff! ;)

Mesh bags: These bags are great for packing small items. Toiletries, electonic chargers and cords, beach essentials and more all fit perfectly in these bags. Plus, you can see through them for easy finding what you are looking for. Here is the link.

Great for all your small packing items. Quickly organizes!

White noise device: Are you a light sleeper? Have a travel buddy that snores? This comes in handy when you are staying somewhere that noise may cause sleep disruption. :) This is very compact and easy to keep in your suitcase. Check it out here.

Block that noise!

Silicone bottle protectors: Have you ever gotten to a destination and found a bottle had opened and spilled all over your luggage? This prevents that from happening. I just recently found these silicone protectors that easily fit right over the top of most bottles. No more spills! Find it here!

To stop the icky spills!

Suitcase scale: This has saved me many times. My suitcase is often close to the maximum 50 pounds when I fly. Being able to weigh my luggage before getting to the airport has kept me from having to open up my suitcase and move items around! Link to the one I have.

Your suitcase weighs HOW MUCH? :)

Power strip (non-surge protection): There are never enough plugs in hotel rooms or cruise ship staterooms. I always carry a power strip with me. This option here is cruise compliant, as it does not have surge protection.

Portable Charger: There are lots of options that you can find. I recently found this one that is very versatile. Check it out here.

Motion Sickness relief: I am not prone to motionsickness typically, but I always keep something on hand just in case. This is not just for cruising, on our recent return flight from Europe, the turbulence was terrible and I had to get out my Bonine. I will always keep it with me when traveling! This is one option that is a tablet. There are also patches that help too.

Travel Tumber: Whether it’s your favorite Stanley or similar, it’s a good idea to bring a tumbler with you. Whether you want to fill it up before heading to your cruise stateroom each night or filling it up as you head to the pool or beach at your resort, it’s a good idea. I found this one that is a great price. If you do take your expensive Stanley, don’t forget it and leave it at the resort.

Fake Stanley :)

Body Glide: Anti-chafing stick. Trust me. If you’re going somewhere hot. Have this on hand. That is all. ;)

Don’t go anywhere hot without it. ;)

This is always a work in progress and ever expanding list. I would love to hear what items you keep on hand when you travel.

Also, if you need help booking that next Caribbean cruise or vacation, I would love to help!

I look forward to hearing from you! Email me: Melissa@wandersbymelissa.com
