Sandals Jamaica Update – And It’s Really Good News

If you’ve been wondering what’s happening in Jamaica after last fall’s hurricane, I wanted to share a meaningful update with you.

Sandals South Coast

Sandals Montego Bay

Sandals Royal Caribbean

Instead of simply repairing these resorts, Sandals made a strategic decision to do something much bigger.

They are investing $200 million to completely reimagine all three properties at the same time.

This isn’t just a refresh. It’s a full evolution into what they’re calling the next phase of the Sandals experience—think upgraded suites, redesigned pools, new dining concepts, and more elevated spaces throughout the resorts.

What I love about this is what it means for travelers to this beautiful island!

If you’ve been hesitant about returning to Jamaica because of storm damage, this is actually the moment to start looking again. These resorts aren’t just coming back—they’re coming back stronger, more modern, and more elevated than before.

Reservations are already open, which is a great sign of how confident Sandals is in what’s coming. Sandals South Coast is accepting bookings now for stays beginning November 18, 2026, while Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean are taking reservations for arrivals starting December 18, 2026.

In the meantime, there are still plenty of incredible options open and welcoming guests, including Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Dunn’s River, Sandals Negril, and Beaches Negril—so you can still experience the beauty of Jamaica while this exciting new chapter unfolds.

If Jamaica has been on your list, this is a really good sign of what’s ahead.
