The Magic of Christmas at Walt Disney World — My Guide to the Merriest Time of Year
The replica of Spaceship Earth at Epcot made out of Gingerbread tiles!
There’s truly nothing like Christmas at Walt Disney World. From twinkling lights and festive music to hot cocoa on Main Street, the holiday season at Disney feels like stepping right into your favorite Christmas movie.
I may be a little biased (okay… a lot biased!), but after staying in almost every resort on Walt Disney World property, I can honestly say — Disney does Christmas better than anywhere else on earth.
And as your Concierge Disney World Travel Planner, I’m here to make sure your family’s Christmas trip is as magical and stress-free as possible — from start to finish.
Let’s Talk About the Main Event: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
It really “snows” on Main Street during the Christmas Party
If you’re dreaming of a Disney Christmas, then Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) at Magic Kingdom is an absolute must-do!
This special-ticketed holiday event takes place on select nights from November 7 to December 21, 2025, and it’s full of holiday cheer from the moment you walk through the gates.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Exclusive Fireworks Show – “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” lights up the sky with holiday music and magical projections on Cinderella Castle.
Once Upon a Christmastime Parade – Marching toy soldiers, dancing reindeer, and Santa himself make their way down a snow-covered Main Street, U.S.A.
Unlimited Cookies & Hot Chocolate – Yes, really. Grab a cookie (or three!) and sip something warm as “snow” falls in Florida.
Stage Shows, Dance Parties & Character Meet-and-Greets – From Mickey and friends in their holiday best to Jack Skellington as “Sandy Claws,” there’s festive fun around every corner.
Attractions with a Holiday Twist – Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, and even Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor get special overlays for the season!
2025 Dates & Ticket Info
Tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are on sale now, and dates are already starting to sell out! Prices range from $169 to $229 per person, depending on the night.
💡 Pro Tip: The earliest and latest dates (as well as the least expensive ones) always sell out first — so if you’re planning to attend, let’s get your tickets secured ASAP.
And yes — Christmas at Disney is booking up fast, so we truly need to get your vacation on the books like yesterday!
Disney at Christmas: The Full Experience
Even if you don’t attend the Christmas Party, Walt Disney World is full of holiday magic from top to bottom:
Resort-Hopping for Holiday Cheer – One of my favorite things to do at Christmas time is to travel the Monorail Loop and visit the beautifully decorated resorts along the way — including the Polynesian Village, the Contemporary, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa — each decked out in festive décor and twinkling lights.
Then make your way to the BoardWalk area, where the Beach Club, Yacht Club, and BoardWalk Inn sparkle with holiday splendor and themed decorations that perfectly capture the joy of the season.
The Candlelight Processional at EPCOT – This is one of the most moving experiences you can have at Walt Disney World during Christmas. Each night, a celebrity narrator retells the story of the birth of Christ, accompanied by a full orchestra and mass choir. It’s absolutely breathtaking — and yes, it brings me to tears every single time. ❤️
Last year, our narrator was Josh Gad (the voice of Olaf from Frozen), and hearing the Christmas story told in Olaf’s voice was truly something magical — heartfelt, funny, and deeply touching all at once. It’s a moment I’ll never forget, and one that perfectly captures what makes Christmas at Disney so special. ✨The Parks Dressed in Holiday Cheer – Every park has its own festive touches — EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays, the Merry Menagerie at Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios’ nostalgic décor make it impossible not to feel merry and bright.

Holiday Dining & Special Events – From seasonal treats to limited-time entertainment, you’ll find Christmas magic everywhere you turn.
